According to the philosophy of Tantra, the entire universe is a manifestation of pure consciousness. In manifesting the universe, this pure consciousness seems to become divided into two poles or aspects, neither of which can exist without the other. In human beings, Shakti, the feminine aspect is called Kundalini. This potential energy is said to rest at the base of the spinal cord. The object of the Tantric practice of Kundalini-yoga is to awaken this cosmic energy and make it ascend through the psychic centres, the chakras, that lie along the axis of the spine as consciousness potentials. She will then unite above the crown of the head with Shiva the pure consciousness. This union is the aim of Kundalini-yoga : a resolution of duality into unity again, a fusion with the Absolute. By this union the adept attains liberation while living which is considered in Indian life to be the highest experience : an union of the individual with the universe. Kundalini Yoga, Tantra, Chakras, Sri Yantra - ResourcesFrom Muladhara chakra, Ida and Pingala alternate at each chakra until they reach Ajna chakra where they meet again with Sushumna. Once the Kundalini Shakti has ascended through Sushumna to Sahasrara, the highest psychic center at the crown of the head, it is made to reverse its course and return to rest in the base center again. A yantra is thus a tool making the process of evolution conscious to the adept of Tantrism. It enables the adept to retrace his steps from the outward-directed world of multiplicity to the inward focus of unity. All primal shapes of a yantra are psychological symbols corresponding to inner states of human consciousness. Yantras are sacred symbols of the process of involution and evolution. The goal of contemplating the Sri Yantra is that the adept can rediscover his primordial sources. The circuits symbolically indicate the sucessive phases in the process of becoming.

Go BACK one Entry ;-) ? The Phone ? or Who's Life have you touched ?THE OLD PHONE When I was quite young, my father had one of the first telephones in our neighborhood. I remember the polished, old case fastened to the wall. The shiny receiver hung on the side of the box. I was too little to reach the telephone, but used to listen with fascination when my mother talked to it. Then I discovered that somewhere inside the wonderful device lived an amazing person. Her name was "Information Please" and there was nothing she did not know. Information Please could supply anyone's number and the correct time. My personal experience with the genie-in-a-bottle came one day while my mother was visiting a neighbor. Amusing myself at the tool bench in the basement, I whacked my finger with a hammer, the pain was terrible, but there seemed no point in crying because there was no one home to give sympathy. I walked around the house sucking my throbbing finger, finally arriving at the stairway. The telephone! Quickly, I ran for the footstool in the parlor and dragged it to the landing. Climbing up, I unhooked the receiver in the parlor and held it to my ear. "Information, please" I said into the mouthpiece just above my head. A click or two and a small clear voice spoke into my ear. "Information." "I hurt my finger..." I wailed into the phone, the tears came readily enough now that I had an audience. "Isn't your mother home?" came the question. "Nobody's home but me," I blubbered. "Are you bleeding?" the voice asked. "No," I replied. "I hit my finger with the hammer and it hurts." "Can you open the icebox?" she asked. I said I could. "Then chip off a little bit of ice and hold it to your finger," said the voice. After that, I called "Information Please" for everything. I asked her for help with my geography, and she told me where Philadelphia was. She helped me with my math. She told me my pet chipmunk that I had caught in the park just the day before, would eat fruit and nuts. Then, there was the time Petey, our pet canary, died. I called, Information Please," and told her the sad story. She listened, and then said things grown-ups say to soothe a child. But I was not consoled. I asked her, "Why is it that birds should sing so beautifully and bring joy to all families, only to end up as a heap of feathers on the bottom of a cage?" She must have sensed my deep concern, for she said quietly, "Wayne always remember that there are other worlds to sing in." Somehow I felt better. Another day I was on the telephone, "Information Please." "Information," said in the now familiar voice. "How do I spell fix?" I asked. All this took place in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. When I was nine years old, we moved across the country to Boston. I missed my friend very much. "Information Please" belonged in that old wooden box back home and I somehow never thought of trying the shiny new phone that sat on the table in the hall. As I grew into my teens, the memories of those childhood conversations never really left me. Often, in moments of doubt and perplexity I would recall the serene sense of security I had then. I appreciated now how patient, understanding, and kind she was to have spent her time on a little boy. A few years later, on my way west to college, my plane put down in Seattle< /SPAN>. I had about a half-hour or so between planes. I spent 15 minutes or so on the phone with my sister, who lived there now. Then without thinking what I was doing, I dialed my hometown operator and said, "Information Please." Miraculously, I heard the small, clear voice I knew so well. "Information." I hadn't planned this, but I heard myself saying, "Could you please tell me how to spell fix?" There was a long pause. Then came the soft spoken answer, "I guess your finger must have healed by now." I laughed, "So it's really you," I said. "I wonder if you have any idea how much you meant to me during that time?" I wonder," she said, "if you know how much your call meant to me. I never had any children and I used to look forward to your calls." I told her how often I had thought of her over the years and I asked if I could call her again when I came back to visit my sister. "Please do", she said. "Just ask for Sally." Three months later I was back in Seattle. A different voice answered, "Information." I asked for Sally. "Are you a friend?" she said. "Yes, a very old friend," I answered. "I'm sorry to have to tell you this," she said. "Sally had been working part-time the last few years because she was sick. She died five weeks ago." Before I could hang up she said, "Wait a minute, did you say your name was Wayne?" "Yes." I answered. "Well, Sally left a message for you. She wrote it down in case you called. Let me read it to you." The note said, "Tell him there are other worlds to sing in. He'll know what I mean." I thanked her and hung up. I knew what Sally meant. Never underestimate the impression you may make on others. Whose life have you touched today? Why not pass this on? I just did.... Lifting you on eagle's wings. February 06 Is the Help with CFS? YES- REST! Chronic Fatigue Syndrome HelpIf there was a secret to my recovery, it was my use of planned rests. As I mentioned in the last chapter, when I was first ill, I often experienced the cycle of push and crash, swinging back and forth from too much activity to periods of rest. I would be more active than my body could tolerate, experience intense symptoms and then use rest to recover. Spending a few hours or a whole day in bed was an effective strategy for recovering from periods of doing too much, but my life felt out of control. About nine months after becoming ill, I learned that I could use rest for another reason besides recuperation. I found that rest could actually prevent symptoms. This idea was one of the strategies recommended by CFS researchers in England who counseled patients to live their lives according to a plan, one which included similar amounts of activity each day and also scheduled rest periods taken no matter how you felt. The goal was to shift away from living in response to symptoms (the cycle of push and crash) toward a consistent, planned life. I was attracted to the idea of gaining control over the swings in my symptoms and I could accept the idea that a similar amount of activity each day could help me achieve greater predictability. But I resisted the idea of resting each day regardless of how I felt. I couldn’t understand why I would lie down voluntarily if I wasn’t experiencing any symptoms. Also, I thought of resting as giving in to the illness, so that rest meant a victory for the illness. Because other parts of the program from England made sense, I decided to try resting every afternoon, but I wasn’t sure what “rest” meant. Was I resting if I was reading or watching television? Or did rest mean lying down? I did some experiments and found that the most restorative rest resulted from lying down in a quiet place with my eyes closed. I was surprised at the results from a 15 minute rest. Even that short rest seemed to help, reducing my symptoms, increasing my stamina and making my life more stable. After a while I added a morning rest as well. Over time, I came to believe that my scheduled rest was the most important thing I did to aid my recovery. Resting everyday according to a fixed schedule, not just when I felt sick or tired, was part of a shift from living in response to symptoms to living a planned life. The experience showed me that rest could be used for more than recovering from doing too much; it could be employed as a preventive measure as well. In the terms suggested by one of the students in our self-help program, I learned the difference between recuperative rest and pre-emptive rest. Taking pre-emptive rests enabled me to reduce the time I spent in recuperative rest. The result was that my total rest time was reduced. Resting on a planned schedule greatly stabilized my life, enabling me to get off the roller coaster and giving me a much greater sense of control. I found that my rests were even more effective after I started doing a relaxation practice at the same time. Without the mental relaxation, my mind often raced from worry to worry, so I experimented with various meditation procedures during my rest time. I learned that techniques using imagery, such as imagining myself lying on the beach or sitting beside a stream, were not effective for me, however helpful they may be to some people. But focusing my attention on my breathing worked. By lying down and keeping my awareness on my breath, I could relax both physically and mentally. I applied the idea of planned rests in other parts of my recovery. As mentioned earlier, I used it to expand my envelope for travel. I found that if I stopped during driving trips for a ten to 15 minute rest every two hours, I arrived fresher at my destination and had a lower symptom level throughout my trip. Also, as I will explain in more detail in the chapter on exercise [see http://www.recoveryfromcfs.org/], I used rests to expand the length of my walks. If I alternated walking with an equal amount of time sitting, I could walk farther and not affect my symptoms. The principle I learned from all these experiments was that rest could have a dramatic effect on the energy available to me and on my symptom level. Taking a short rest break to re-charge batteries expanded the number of productive hours in my day. Also, I found that I could avoid a long period of bed rest by taking a brief rest as soon I felt my symptoms beginning to get worse. As I improved, I experimented with the number of rests, eventually replacing planned rests with brief rests in response to symptoms. But this was only after I had recovered back to about 90% of normal. For most of the time I was recovering, pre-emptive rests were crucial. For four years, my planned rests both reduced my total rest time and helped bring stability back into my life, a big payoff for two brief breaks in my day. and I know people reading that, where saying that's Me on PMS, that's My four year old, who doesn't have a tantrum and sweat.. I have that, the doctors say i am Bi-polar... Well.. THESE SYMPTOMS here are forrrrrrr HypOglycemia... that means LOW blood sugar.. HypOglycimia or Low blood sugar, often develops from the same type of dietary extreme as DIABETES... and I have been told by my Own doctors, that it's Often a Precursor to it.. Given my family History, although it's ONLY been males n My family.. IS NOT a good thing.. Strange my docs know I have low blood sugar, but that is NOT COVERED by Testing supplies and Neither is my Low Blood pressure, as I have to do this fancy bed dance to bring me INTO consciousness, called the Trundellenburg ( sorry even spell check couldn't fix that word ) [ they lower the head of the bed, and raise your feet INTO THE AIR fun fun, in hope of getting my blood pressure over 70 systolic.. Yippee.. In time, if Insulin overproduction continues, the pancreas becomes overworked and losses the ability to produce sufficient and /or effective insulin, which Leads you to Become Diabetic.. My friends.. Did you know, do you understand, that at least 50% of HypOglycemic people are DOING this to THEMSELVES??? It's not bad enough to Become a Diabetic because your eating habits are terrible, and all of the Soda, and Chocolalotmocofancy drinks you have , and RED BULLS and energy pick you ups.. You eat Poorly, you "Forget to eat" you Binge on Bad foods, then Plunk.. You land your Sugar High self into the hospital, making no sense at all, they ask your family when the last time you ate or slept, have you been depressed, gone on spending sprees, on and on.. BOOM.. YOU HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH HAT... Look at the SYMPTOMS, and Read the Ones for Bi-Polar... Hmm sorta makes you think what are you doing to yourself I HOPE.. Is there a FIX? a CURE? a way to make it better? THE CAUSE is YOUR EATING HABITS... BAD eating Habits.. Your LOVE for Sugar rich foods... bad bad foods.. there is HELP for your whole family Yes, I will devote pages on Healing with WHOLE foods... I am going to devote more time to this page... and "Know Your Rights" /AVoice this coming year.. not to keep you dangling, but i am having health issues that I only WISH food would cure.. This involves Eastern Medicine.. Your Gi and Ying and Yang.. so it requires me to prepare you for some Nutrition classes... for many of the HATS I already have listed here..

If you are TRULY diagnosed by your doctor as having Hypoglycemia, I have some helpful Healing foods recipies, along with the eating the at LEAST six small snack( meals ) I day.. I know.. ackk.. but I have a good fix for even that.. Unless you LOVE FOOD..____? I am clueless.. try the recipies.. December 21 I LOVE THIS POST

December 18 CANADIAN RESEARCH TEAM DISCOVERS KEY MECHANISM BEHIND NEUROPATHIC PAINMicroglia cells release a protein that activates pain neurons
Montreal - December 2005 A Canadian multidisciplinary, multi-institutional research team has discovered a key mechanism behind neuropathic pain, a finding that could soon lead to better diagnostics and new kinds of therapeutics. This breakthrough was made possible with the support of a $1.5-million NeuroScience Canada Brain Repair Program team grant that enabled five scientists from across Canada to join their labs and fast-track their research. Two of the members of the grant led the work at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and the Robert-Giffard Research Centre in Québec City. This research will be reported in the December 15, 2005 issue of the journal Nature. Damage to peripheral nerves, after nerve injury or from diseases that affect peripheral nerve function, can result in neuropathic pain, one of the most debilitating types of chronic pain. Neuropathic pain can afflict people with diabetes, cancer, HIV and spinal cord injury. Previous work has shown that a first step in neuropathic pain depends on the activation of microglia cells, but scientists have long sought to understand how microglia communicate with pain neurons that relay information from the spinal cord. In the December 15th issue of Nature, Dr. Yves De Koninck and Dr. Michael Salter, and their team, report that upon stimulation, microglia cells release a protein (called brain-derived neurotrophic factor) that alters the properties of pain neurons in the spinal cord in such a way that they become activated - rather than inhibited (as would normally be the case) - by the signaling molecule GABA. Since current pain relieving drugs, such as morphine, act on the actual nerve cells, they are ineffective in the treatment of neuropathic pain. The findings reported by Dr. Salter and De Konick indicate that drugs that are capable of stopping the microglia from injuring nerve cells will be key to treating this type of pain. "This is an important discovery for the millions of Canadians who suffer from debilitating chronic pain that cannot currently be treated. The cost to society is equally devastating and is estimated in the billions of dollars annually," says the Honourable Michael H. Wilson, Chair of NeuroScience Canada, a national umbrella organization for neuroscience research, whose Brain Repair Program helped support this research. "With the work of Drs. Salter and De Koninck, we can now focus the research on developing drugs that will target the class of cells responsible for chronic pain. This represents an important shift that could soon provide patients with effective treatments and allow them to be active again in our society." * The date and time embargo on information to be released adheres to the agreement signed by the publisher of the magazine Nature which publishes in extinso the results of this project Ten million Canadians of all ages will be affected by a disease, disorder or injury of the brain, spinal cord or nervous system at some point in their lives. These conditions number more than 1,000 and include Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, depression, schizophrenia, sense organ diseases, traumatic brain injury and chronic pain. Based on Health Canada data, the economic burden of these disorders is conservatively estimated at 14 per cent of the total burden of disease, or $22.7 billion annually; when disability is included, the economic burden reaches 38 per cent or more, according to the World Health Organization. However, despite the magnitude of the problem, neuroscience research, with just $100 million total in operating grants in C anada annually, is still greatly under funded in this country. Founded in 1988, NeuroScience Canada is Canada's umbrella organization and voice for the neurosciences. Through partnering with the public, private and voluntary sectors, NeuroScience Canada connects the knowledge and resources available in this area to accelerate neuroscience research and funding, and maximize the output of Canada's world-class scientists and researchers. The mission of NeuroScience Canada's Brain Repair Program is to fast-track neuroscience research in order to develop treatments and therapies more quickly. Through the Brain Repair Program, NeuroScience Canada and its donors and partners have already invested $4.5 million to research teams conducting breakthrough work in the area of brain repair. NeuroScience Canada's funding partners on the grant led by Dr. Salter include the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation. Please wipe away that tear, for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear, but the sound of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here. I have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring, for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing. I know how much you miss me I see the pain inside your heart, even though I am so far away, we really aren't apart. So, be happy for me, loved ones. You know I hold you dear. Be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I send you each a special gift from my heavenly home above. I send you each a memory of my undying love. After all, "Love" is the gift more precious than gold. It was always most important in the stories Jesus told. Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do, for I can't count the blessings or the love He has for you. So, have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear! How to find ten minutes ( it gets less once you earn the routine) to give yourself a real spa shower in under 15 min) How to Organize for different Life, medical situations, Like short term memory, or other probems brought on by brain injury or Time constraints.. These LIFE tips, and time savers DO NOT ONLY work for people with disabilities... They work Awesome for those with Not enough hours in the day too... Those with Just way to much STUFF and No where to put it... but you ADAPT them to YOUR NEEDS... If anyone has a situation they may need another part of a brain team on, that's how alot of us work TOGETHER, we get stuck on a situation, and talk and say this works for me, and this has failed blah blah, and this is how we come up with some pretty darn good ideas.. I am going to start selling these Little books, as part of the Bigger project... It's all going to the HUMAN's for HUMANS
